I'm still attached to birdsite, even though it gets worse and worse.
I still think we should stage an armed takeover of Twitter HQ and collectivize it. Heck, we should turn it into a weird mastodon instance with 140 character limit and blue birds and shit.
Or I could use Mastodon more and forget about birdsite but... my followers D:
@transfaerie I feel ya. It's hard to leave. Also, as bad as it is, I also am kinda addicted to the news cycle over there. I feel like I learn a lot more. Maybe I just haven't found the right folks to follow on here yet, but 🙃
@b_cavello yeah, and I mean, I guess we're hoping that mastodon will be something different and that , reasons to use both sites.
Like I don't think I'd want media companies on here at all, and if I want to follow a news outlet I'd still go to twitter.
Who knows. I wonder how I'll feel about mastodon once I have a lot more followers and followees.
@transfaerie That's legit. I don't even mean "official" news sources like media companies.
Sometimes it's good for me because it spares me hapless anxiety, but I also experience some real FOMO.
