As I've experienced, magic is more like a computer program than a person. I.E. It takes the path of least resistance.
And if you don't prepare your spells well, then there's a HIGH chance of backfiring. It's happened to me several times.
And, when that spell backfires, it's easy to try and make a law to justify why you messed up, instead of picking apart why you went wrong.
TL:DR; Be very, VERY specific when casting spells.
@Chris_John Other than the name, I've got no real beefs with white magic. I enjoy using protection spells and other things in my craft.
But there's a lot of BS that gets sent out to the rest of us by Wiccans that I can't quite abide a lot of the time.
