@Formedras @ceiphiedknight worse case, could ask someone to build it on their RPi and then send you the SD image to flash on your own card.

Well, I'd hope that instead of having to send the entire SD image, they could just send a tarball of the compiled application for gunzip/install.

Also hopefully that whoever is able to help can instead cross-compile it from an x86 or amd64 Linux so that the build takes a small fraction of the time.
