This weird spot between "I have achieved A Thing, I want to share my Excite" and "Most people will learn to do That Thing at age 8-10 and it does not carry the same emotional weight at all, nobody will understand what momentous progress this is for me, and people might even think I'm joking and mock me, thus reminding me I am and will always be 20 years too late on some things."
@seaw I know the feel, I used to feel really bad because my younger brother could ride a bike before me, because I was sooo clumsy... Even now I don't ride bike. Learning motorcycle is a bit difficult too.
"It's easy, it's just like a bike !"
"Yeah, well..."

@myrrhashad Oh man, I can't ride a bike. At all. I can't drive a car or a motorcycle either, but that's because I'm terrified on the road. (I love it when people say "it's like riding a bike, you never forget!" Well, then.)
Thank you! I actually made a Béchamelle for the first time ever today. I have a very, very complicated relationship with food so this is actually pretty momentous for me. But now I'll be able to do one sauce, even if that's just the one.
