an academic friend is trying to decide on an instance. are musicians/music theorists/boston sports fans congregating anywhere in particular?
@linguangst He should choose an instance that he feels comfortable on in general (rules, number of members, etc), he can always find those specific people later via hashtags, etc. You can still follow and interact with people on all other instances.
@bksmgglr that's more or less what i've told him, but many of the chill/smaller instances have closed registration. also, my local witch timeline has been so welcoming and great... i want him to have a similar experience
