I have been pondering the possibility of a deliberately-ephemeral instance where all posts are deleted after a certain amount of time. Mastodon-meets-snapchat.
@lambdagrrl Federation causes difficulties for deletions. Not all OSocial instances actually delete posts when told to.
@sendoshin yeah, you wouldn't be able to guarantee deletion so it would be more for the idea of the thing. You could always put content behind limited lifespan links but that would be awkward on other instances.
@sendoshin I guess images display automatically and could be deleted but that would be crap for accessibility
