so, I'm _slightly_ tempted to start looking into creating a Mastodon instance, probably just paying the bit extra to go through masto.host rather than trying to do everything myself
basically I'd like a more general-purpose RP instance rather than the ones I know about, that are all tied to specific universes. maybe such an instance already exists? I inquired a bit, a few months ago, but the only general-purpose one I was told about doesn't exist any more.
