confusion at actually meeting other trans women for the first time Afficher plus
It's weird that now that I'm in the city and actually meeting other trans femmes in person, I honestly don't feel there's automatically some connection. It's not that they're unlikable or mean, but more that I realize I don't have a lot in common with their experiences, even along being trans. So that's creating doubt, especially what with the whole "You're probably best off dating other trans women" advice I get a lot.

@ikea_femme oh, yeah. that's how it is. the fact that you have this one thing in common has jack-all to do with whether you enjoy each other's company
lotsa trans women are poopy bores imo. same proportion as in any other group, really. (i'm admittedly pretty picky about people tho, and don't click with a lot of folks in RL)

@alyx I hate to say it, the ones I've met remind me of gals from my high school anime club. As in, they like cool things, and clearly have a sense of humor, but in a way I find more exhausting than infectious.
They probably saw me as morbid and pretentious. Which is fair.

@ikea_femme i'm not socially intelligent enough (?) to fully understand what makes me click with one person and not with others
but it's sure apparent when i do or don't!
solution: meet lots more people until you find yr favorites.
