I think I'm just really in a misanthropic mood today because some people really aren't thinking critically about social media and it's bothering me

There are people complaining about how Vero put in its terms of service the right to use their content, and they're complaining... on Twitter.

@guerrillarain Thing is, it's kind of impossible to run a service of considerable size without some kind of legalese to that effect. Technically, without that legalese, websites are continuously violating our copyright whenever we upload anything and they display it. Of course, as long as we don't complain, s'all good, but what are you gonna do when you have billions and billions of users who could all complain at once?

@guerrillarain I mean, sure, copyright laws are stupid and all, but the legalese that says you give the website the right to display your content without royalties is just trying to work around the stupidity of modern copyright law. It's trying to solve a problem, not cause one.

@JordiGH I agree. My point is that Twitter has the exact same rules as Vero. I agree that it's good to bring it up, but you can't say one is especially bad for doing the same thing...
