It feels like scala doesn't really have types when all types implicitly coerce to everything else.
I thought we only allowed this behaviour in silly languages like JavaScript and R?

@edensaesthetic yea, it could be a great language...if it wasn't for the jvm. Seems like a lot of it's downsides come from wanting to be java-compatible :-/

@LottieVixen mate setting it up is the most painful bit. It's not awful to write in though, just a bit unusual.

I don't get why it's so much more popular than clojure?

@edensaesthetic Clojure is another I want to try, I'll give both a shot and share my experience too, interesting to hear all this though! :)

@LottieVixen definitely do clojure! There's a book called Clojure for the Brave and True that's legit really good :)
