my partner didn't crack my back before bed last night and now it is sore and there is no one to crack it for me here bc it would probably be weird to walk up to a coworker and be like 'hey you're tall wanna bear-hug me real hard until my spine crunches'
@nickchapman from the front. I can do my lower back by twisting in a chair, so it's the upper that needs it - which usually means they have to pick me up :P there's just no one here I want to get in such close quarters with tbh
@nickchapman I used to do the 2nd one all the time in school, when the chairs were the right height :P office chairs, not so much. I just grab the chair and twist my torso. Always grosses people out cuz it cracks like a machine gun - usually at least 5 or 6 audible pops, sometimes more. I have a ligament disorder so my spine/joints are kinda messed up - they crack loudly and frequently.
@cmdrspacebabe I'm annoying with my finger-popping and sometimes feel like I annoy people. Some people really cringe...so I try to crack in moderation.
Best of luck!
@nickchapman I crack my hand-joints in up to 6 different ways - wrists, thumbs backwards and forwards, 1st knuckle backwards and forwards, and 2nd knuckle. I get a lot of grossed-out looks when I unthinkingly start doing it in meetings haha.
@cmdrspacebabe gotcha. that certainly is a factor. i don't think my coworker wanted to, exactly, but was in enough discomfort to request it anyway. good luck finding someone to pop you!
i just tried method one option 1 and think it actually worked -- maybe not as good as someone else. the chair one (option 2) looks dangerous.
