hahaha today I talked to my grandparents about my Weird Joints bc I was pretty sure I got it from Grandpa's side and yes, yes I did
apparently in his youth he could also put his legs behind his head, reach up to his shoulder blades from behind his back, and dislocate his shoulders; and my tendency for fucked-up seated posture is also typical, as his family can be identified by 'whoever's sprawled across the most furniture in the weirdest and most uncomfortable-looking position'
then they fondly reminisced about my childhood, when I would sit in their giant easy chair upside down with my legs splayed in the air at opposite angles; or that one photo they have of me as a toddler where I'm fast asleep in my car seat, but with my right leg jammed in behind the tray table so my foot is sticking straight up in the air
the common theme of like 80% of my childhood photos is 'why and how is she (sitting/lying/standing) like that'
also I refused to continue gymnastics because it 'hurt too much' and hated all sports except, specifically, playing goalie in soccer, probably because most sports involve running and my feet, ankles and hips are all a bit too fucked up to do that comfortably
in related news, I just wrenched my shoulder by scratching an itch at the wrong angle, how are all of you
@Ricardus booooo :/ I get brief wrenches all the time just from shit like stretching or taking off jackets, but those only last a minute or two.
@cmdrspacebabe I was doing a shoulder workout and pulled it, and of course like an idiot I thought I'd finish the rep. BAD IDEA.
