I'm doing pretty well this morning. The book I'm reading just had a reveal that was something I was really hoping was gonna be a thing and it hit me right in the feels anyway. Good feels.

Basically, I'm leading an effort to hold my city's first Pride this summer, and there's a non-zero chance a conservative alderman will torpedo it. There has been opposition from local conservative religious types and it's looking like she called them in. And we're all meeting Monday to discuss, and it just hit the paper and seems to be turning into a circus.
And I'm an introvert. :)
@snoot Well, you're a hero for heading that effort up, for sure. Hopefully you can get some counter-support to show up? Not that that would reduce the circus nature at all. 🙃
Local politics and be contentious and gross even without the homophobia angle. Bleh.
Good luck and I wish you strength. Afterward, maybe you can curl up with a good book in a quiet room alone for a week to recharge. 😜 That's what would do it for me, anyway.

I think we'll have a lot of supporters, including local clergy. I'm just hoping we don't have our whole Indivisible group show up, because we have a DACA rally two blocks away at the same time. 😜
