I'm told it's currently in the middle of a seven-year rest. How will the 27th-century locals know when it has ended?
@DialMforMara Whoever told you that was wrong. I was in Halberstadt a few months after the last chord change, and that one's still going--the next chord change is in 2020. The piece did start with something like an 18 month rest, though.

It's different in person, though. The sound fills you after a while. Not due to volume--it was surprisingly quiet--but simply because your whole body will start to vibrate to the sound.
