A day late, but a lot of US friends shared their coming out stories yesterday.
I was later to the party, coming out in my 30s first as gay and a few years later as trans. While the weight of a lifetime of believing I was born wrong lifted, navigating queer space, family, and professional relationships was a huge undertaking.
From fearing no one would love me to being engaged, afraid of mutilating my body to smiling in the mirror, I'm lucky to be in a good place now. Keep swimming. ❤🏳️🌈
