Question: is there some correlation between whether or not you say hello when you log in and goodbye when you log out, and social factors like age and how you think about the internet in general? I notice I don't do it, but a lot of people here do.
@DialMforMara I wonder if it also matters how large your instance is. greeting and signing off might make more of a difference on a smaller instance. also, some seem to treat mastodon more like a chat room, which would make sense.
