@agaric Yeah, it blows mightily. It's going to cost a lot of people a lot of money, particular in applications like cloud computing.
@agaric likely it's already patched and you didn't even notice. macos and ios were already patched pre-announcement, i think win10 is too. not sure on linux kernel status
@agaric You're going to need an OS patch that'll ding performance somewhere between 5-30%, or risk stuff like Java garbage being able to read sensitive processing data that should be partitioned off.
