it's difficult for me to explain just how dispiriting selling off most of my book collection back in 2011-12 was to me, because we had moved to a very tiny and expensive apartment just to be able to stay in Ballard for Daria's job. like, I've been _afraid_ to buy books ever since, and would only buy the occasional book if I could get it for basically no money, like a lucky thrift-shop find
@kara_dreamer Oh dear, forced sell of books sounds horrible!
@kara_dreamer definitely not the same. I've only read a handful of ebooks, I need the physical books to cover our walls.
@Stoori yeah :( I compensated a little by going in for electronic books but it's just not the same
