accessibility caveats of mastodon:

- need to follow ppl to be able to read replies
- can't follow ppl because spoons

fucking mastodon is it so hard to attach some posts to another post, so ppl who don't follow you, but follow the OP, can see your replies to a post?

@Sylvhem ok so I don't follow you. so do this: reply to a followers-only post from someone I do follow, with your reply set to "followers-only" as normal. Do not @ me on it, but let me know which OP you replied to.

I won't be able to see your post, really, but w/e. You wanna know what I mean, this is what I mean.

@Sylvhem make mastodon more accessible because I don't wanna follow a bunch of ppl. alternatively I wish there was a way to follow someone without adding them to your home timeline.
