Feeling really withdrawn today, but excited about a couple of things. A friend asked me to play at a show with him. Will be my first show in like ten years. Looking forward to going home and playing the guitar. And singing.
Though it is making me feel a bit guilty because a friend is having a bad time today and has sent me like 35 texts and I just cannot deal with them. I responded to 20 over lunch. And her problems are Real Problems and Mine Are Not (this is not pity; mine are In My Head Problems and hers are Happening in the Real World Problems that Affect Her and Others), but I just... cannot appropriately respond. I can read them, and I can understand, but... I'm too tired. I have too few words. I just need the quiet.
