my mom was being so horrible. she kept coming in and out of the room to scream at us because we defend ourselves and tell her she's being horrible. my partner is coming over for a week and I cant have her stay here if my mom is going to be this abusive.

IF you have a friend who has a place you can crash at, I might suggest that. Just say you're taking a trip somewhere.
Hope this can help. Most of my bad home life was basically never being home while the problem person was awake.
