While reading someone's tl catching up on things I learned about Wicked Grounds and now I really want to go there?
@nic_olenomicon I've not been to WG for a few years, but when I went it's a really mellow cafe, with maybe a few toys around. No play required, and most people aren't playing, just enjoying some tea or a soy latte. If you can handle a Starbucks, you can totally handle WG. 🌈
@Josephine Yeah it sounds like it'd be a nice starting point. Shame it's in a different country.
@nic_olenomicon 😠they are most definitely a very mixed bag, and you have to be very careful, but have checked out by any of the online kink communities, e.g FetLife?
@Josephine I think I just need to let go and do *something*. Take that first step and break through that anxiety. Meet some like-minded people that I feel ok around, y'know?
@nic_olenomicon yep, like minded, good, caring, people who you have more than just kink in common are essential. Perhaps a very selective new FetLife account, looking for local ppl, lots of chatting before meeting in person... Etc?
@Josephine That's a good idea. I'm going to start scoping out some clubs and stuff that I'd feel ok just scoping out in Sydney too. Just to get a handle on things. This is starting to be a productive night.
@Josephine I have a Fetlife account but I didn't use it much except as a place to post pictures until I made my alt birdsite account. It's also attached to a name I used for posting amateur porn of myself other places. I should probably start over.
I kinda didn't know where to start with it though. Kinda too nervous to talk to anyone or go to any munches I saw or anything.
