.@Halberd Is posting in #Welsh and I don't understand a word of it but it warms my heart. :P

@cassolotl Diolch! Nes i sylweddoli, s'dim waheaeth i fi is ma mastonauts yn ateb i beth dwi'n bostio neu ddim. Rwy'n mwynhau bod yma, a cymrud than. Felli, os 'dwi eisiau siarad Cymraeg, rhywbeth dwi'n gweld eisiau yn fy mywid, pam lau!

Thanks! I realised I don't mind if Mastonauts understand what I'm saying or not, I'm just enjoying taking part and being here. Therefore if I want to speak Welsh, something I miss from my day to day life, why not?

@Halberd Absolutely! :) Plus other Welsh-speakers might find you and you can start a Welsh party.

@Halberd Oh, and! The most recent update included automatic language detection. Sometime soon we might be able to filter the local and federated timelines to find people who speak the less well-known languages! :O

Butzor the Inevitable @Halberd

@cassolotl Oooh, interesting! I think my use is a bit my way of saying "I'm here". And maybe a bit that as I speak Welsh because my English parents settled there, I have a responsibility to use it and make people aware that it still exists as a living, nourishing language.

Diddorol! Efallai mae defnyddio'r yn ffordd o dweud "yma 'dw i". Ond hefyd, ges i ddysgu'r iaeth fel plentun o rhieni Saesneg wnaeth symyd i Cymru. Mae chyfrifoldeb arna i i defnyddio'r iaeth a gwneud yn siwr fod pobl yn ei weld hi'n barhau.
