They might, it's just amusing to me :) These are streaks that were present in the 80s, and even in later animal wisdom stories (think the Velveteen rabbit/Winnie the Pooh)
But i'm generally critical of borrowing genre theory terms like that, because post-* is suspect even within /that/ categorization system.
