@Concerned_Catgirl I was being tongue-in-cheek, but usually the full acronym I see is LGBTQIA.
If you think the Queer community is somehow superior or especially unique compared to the rest of the community who doesn't fit into heteronormative gender practices, then you might need to take a step back and realize how it's a common struggle and that we're all stronger together rather than quibbling about whose acronym letter goes first.
@smeg this is the hottest take
"gay people deserve to come first other all other queer people because cishets feel comfy around them"
@Concerned_Catgirl It seems like, to you, the concerns of your group override all others, that raising awareness and expanding inclusiveness doesn't mean anything except when the conversation is solely about your group. Your behavior is similar to the "WHAT ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE" screaming Nazis that you claim to dislike.
Blocked.
@Concerned_Catgirl I think it's more of an issue of public awareness. My bigoted grandmother-in-law only knows about the gay and lesbian terms, and condemns them as sinning perverts. If she learned about trans, queer, intersex, etc. she would say the exact same thing.
It's not so much comfort, but awareness and presence in the public discourse.
