@bob @Concerned_Catgirl Maybe it's a bad take but I do consider the fact he didn't like religion (which was the main fount of welfare at the time, and is still a major source in many parts of the world) and didn't seem to really care for anyone who didn't work.
I mean he didn't write much at all on the disabled but that's what I read it as.

@Concerned_Catgirl A lot of leftists like to erase disabled people a lot I've noticed. I suspect it's because many of the disabled are on government assistance, which is like... of course they'd be afraid of the state collapsing in that case. The collapse of the state = their death.
