Does anyone else get the feeling that there's no point trying to work hard or do things well because power and success only go to those with preexisting power and no morality or empathy, therefore making the act of bettering yourself or gaining expertise ultimately pointless?
@stolas Mmm, I agree with the point about power and success. I'd point out though, that there are other reasons to work hard and do things well. Helping your friends (Comrades?), doing your bit to further society, etc. Don't let the greedy assholes at the top distract you from all the good people do. :/

@stolas In a away, you could say that the notion, "The only reason to try hard is to make more money" is capitalist propaganda of the worst sort, and is one of the things we will need to defeat if we want to make a better world. :/
