Q: when is one too old to start sth new from scratch? And is it always worth it?
I've done sth new which I never did before since the beginning of the year, now 2 weeks later I feel pretty exhausted and have the wish to have stayed in my old life. Hmm, maybe that's a conservative part deep inside me?
At least this weekend I take off from everything and visit my brother and his family. Will hopefully give me some time to think about me, my life, and my goals and non-goals.
@hannesm Whenever I see "am I too old to X" I think about all the older people I met riding bicycles across the US when I was doing the same. Most of them had given up on ever doing it, but then got divorced or laid off (very common in '08 and '09) and had nothing keeping them where they were, so suddenly this impossible thing was possible.
It's not the same, but they were all ages, and all amounts of joy and fear. I don't think there is a "too old" for most things so much as there is a right frame of mind, and a right level of confidence that others will help you.
