I changed my mind, cats are pointless. I spent ten minutes yelling at him to kill a spider for me and he waited until the spider had left then killed a shadow very thoroughly.
@Murkrow @kel @Sylvhem even if they didn't provoke an irrational fear response, cute spiders are just a food-source for the less cute ones

@kel @Murkrow heh, nope. they're highly aggressive, and they're vagrants so they get into bedsheets, towels, clothes, everywhere
the best case is their bites are extremely painful and irritating, at worst they'll put you in hospital
and because they're imported from australia, they're the top of the insect food-chain around here, there's nothing bigger or scarier than them to keep their numbers down
