@verydumb It'd be interesting to have been privy to that conversation, but I'm not sure what Chance could do. Jumping onto that particular sinking VC boat to throw good money after bad is probably a bad choice...
SC is in full PR-spin mode as well, but axing ~40% of employees just doesn't jive with the 'sunshine and puppies' spin.
Apparently after the layoffs, they're funded through Q4, so they can burn through to ~Sept/Oct..
@twitter yeah. Soundcloud seems to keep going this way every few years and even if chance did manage to do something, its going to go away sometime relatively soon. I'm kinda excited to see if a better website rises up from this, but i really hate how much music the world is gonna lose when it goes.
@verydumb Yah, they have a ton of data either way. Hopefully most of it gets saved one way or another.
