okay well we ditched the blog, but i can share some of the viz now.
color is speed. you can see some normal sweeping patterns, but if you pay attention you'll see pretty dramatic slowdowns in the path of totality and a "bloom" of speedups as people clear out after the eclipse
there's a bit of flicker across the whole image right as the eclipse starts on the west coast that is due to some missing data
