Got close to 5% of the vote last month for our shareholder resolution calling on #twitter to do a feasibility study on options for converting to user ownership. @ntnsndr's article in the Guardian back in the fall really kicked the campaign into high gear. #birbsite #platformcoop

Interesting. I remember hearing about that vote, but then nothing more after that. I didn't think it'd get very far at all.
I'd still rather do it my way, where we go and we beat up Jack and take it by force (jk), but this way is cool too, whatever works.
@transfaerie @cnc we broke the threshold required to resubmit the proposal next year, and raised a *lot* of awareness of the #platformcoop model in the process, so it felt like a breakthrough moment for the movement to me.
