Oh my god Battlefield 1 is so harrowing my eyes are watering.
@caraellison It makes me so sad that we've only had some fairly mundane multiplayer DLC for it and not more War Story packs. The campaign stuff for BF1 was just incredible.

@caraellison I really think they missed an opportunity by not making a new War Story at least for the Russia expansion. Let you play as a member of the women's battalion during the Kerensky Offensive or something. They used the female Scout model to advertise the multiplayer pretty heavily, so why not give her a singleplayer story as well?
So many interesting things they could have done. But we'll probably need to wait for indie devs with a tiny fraction of the budget to even make the attempt. Alas.
