@tipsytentacle I feel like this is an unfortunate effect of the "model minority" phenomenon.
Within Asian American communities, there's a strong implicit sense that you can be accepted by white culture if you just try hard enough.
Normally it just just extends to academic achievement and traditional status markers like professional jobs and wealth, but it's not a big stretch for people raised in that environment to conclude that they can also win acceptance by actively helping to prop up white supremacy.
