Alright, new blood pressure med is: go

It is kind of nuts to me that Black Panther was a more feminist movie than Wonder Woman.

Although it's also interesting that in a movie with so many good roles for women, I'm struggling to remember if it passes the Bechdel test because so much of it was about taking out Klaue or Killmonger or pulling T'challa's ass out of the fire, but in this case I think it speaks more to the test than any specific failings of the movie.

Tonight I dreamt of trying to get the last french fry out of a massive, needlessly complicated frier so still stressful but a step up from nuclear war. Also there was some minor flooding.

Woke up this morning after a dream punctuated by nuclear bombs going off in the distance so hoping tonight's programming is a little less bleak and stressful.

It is my permanent headcanon that the Party Rock Anthem video is part of iZombie continuity.

Telebra usually does a few Raids each week, but have been picking one Raid-dropped mount to run on all of my alts. Currently going after the Onyxian drake, because she has always thus far eluded me and she is, if I may be so bold, one of the few drake mounts that doesn't look like ass.

Monster Hunter seems fun on a gameplay level, World seems less inscrutable to me than earlier entries but I don't think I could play one of those games without feeling awful the entire time.

Bayonnaise

I never think to include Bayonetta when I'm thinking of my favorite games but it's probably in the top five. It's so over-the-top and the combat just feels so satisfying.

Watching people getting into Bayonetta 2 today, I am just being reminded of how I played the first game so hard I friction-burned the skin off my thumbs.

So I really wish I had a Switch, 'swhat I'm saying.

For some reason earlier I thought the Black Panther talking figure had an American accent, and it doesn't* (I may have been hearing some Killmonger) but in testing it found it includes the phrase "the Dora Milaje are great warriors," which is very nice of a toy to cede to some of its time to the ladies.

Rather a 12-inch talking Okoye, though.

*It has AN accent, I'm not sure it's the right one but I'm not the most educated on the matter to judge.

I can't believe being expected to go into a room and try to appeal to Trump's conscience, expect him to be compelled by morality. The Greek gods assigned less impossible punishments.

This also puts me on a deadline to come up with a new name. If absolutely pushed I'm open to Compendium of Arcane Biology or some other permutation of running that through the thesaurus but I don't love it.
Alternatively, the Arcane Beast Compendium had the nicer acronym but it doesn't flow as well...

Gonna be relaunching my Patreon on the first, CC should be active again sometime the following week then hopefully we'll have banked a few podcast episodes so that will start soon after.
Don't have much of an idea for the Patreon yet but thinking monthly prints and private early streams of the podcast illustrations that I'll put up as time-lapses on Twitch when the corresponding episodes drop. Anyone has any suggestions of what else they'd actually like from a Patreon I'm open to 'em.

"Alien big cats" is always such a less interesting topic than the name implies

Did an afternoon WoW video, mostly picking a mount and kicking around a farm. But I liked talking about the real-world mythology of the different species I encountered so I might lean into that as I get into further areas with more interesting inhabitants. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/231407875
