Hello Mastodon. I'm an illustrator with a focus on animals and monsters from folklore, and I just restarted my art blog on that same subject. Today was the first post in over a year but if you're new there's over 400 entries in the archive to check out.

My day job is killing me and living and transition expenses are piling up so I'm going to try and have a go at making a living off this art stuff, so have the standard Patreon link
patreon.com/tashepard and a Twitch stream for drawing (and some WoW) twitch.tv/tashepard/dashboard

Have a window with like 40 tabs open researching for the new CC entries and forgot how much I love falling down these holes. It's one thing when I've already picked a monster and I'm specifically researching that to draw it, but this, when I'm trying to find new things and every little discovery I hit just branches off into five more directions to check out, is the best part.

They Might Be Giants is one of my bigger gaps in cultural knowledge yet today I've still managed to wake up with Meet James Ensor, a song I haven't heard in minimum five years, stuck in my head.

What the hell is going on tonight

Unrelatedly, I am intrigued but skeptical about these magnetic false eyelashes I just found, anyone know if they're a waste of money?

Alright, I have a podcast co-host, now I just need... a podcast.

Mostly I just need to learn to edit, if anyone has any recs or baby-steps tutorials.

I hope y'all check it out when I start streaming art again because 🎶I really need to quit this shitty fucking jobbb🎶

Hell, I don't think I even need you to watch it, just mute it and switch tabs, unless it can track that sort of thing

Tardigrades are known as "water bears" because bears are water-soluble and that's all that's left of them if they stay in the water for too long.
