It was a distillation of everything else Marvel has done before it, but it was also all the things they've been missing, and that makes all the difference. It was solidly good, fun, but even something familiar, told by new voices, becomes something fresh and exciting.
It had the same "we can all be better" ethos as the Last Jedi that I loved so much, I think. I'm most surprised how hopeful it left me, both the film itself and the real world implications of how well it's doing
