The update claims creators will now get 95% of *pledges*; this is true but misleading.

Before, 100% of patron payments were counted as pledges. Now, 97% MAX of patron payments are counted. With the flat fee of 35 cents per transaction, this means you will only get roughly 63% of the money your $1 pledge patrons are paying.

If almost all your pledges are $1 or $2, you aren't getting 95% of your patrons' payments - you're getting more like 70%

Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed and like I just want to give up and scrap everything, even the smallest, silliest thing can help, so...

Just give it to the 23rd of December. Mercury is in retrograde and in Sagittarius, which means that commerce (so, your job) and communication (so, your relationships) are going to be tough until Mercury goes direct.

You can make it 18 more days. This too shall pass (and pretty soon)!

I actually had a second piece for another cover I did, but I got discouraged cause I didn't know how to fix it.

Oh, before I forget:

Anybody out there REALLY fluent in Chinese (mostly written) and need a job?

My bosses are hiring. It's basically the same geographical work I do (i.e. really cushy if you're good at lateral thinking), but in Chinese. That and basic web literacy are the main requirements, though knowing a bit about global culture sure doesn't hurt.
