Makes me want to build a decent image sharing network. Not just an app for Mastodon, but something standalone and optimised for images (and ofc using ActivityPub for compatibility with the million+ people using mastodon)

Is there a term for that 80's electro sound besides just that? I'm thinking of the "Stranger Things" intro and currently all the background music for "Atlanta Monster" by Makeup and Vanity Set.
So just aheads up since people here have been into it: Vero is apparently run by a fuckhead who at his previous company jsut.... didn't pay a ton of Filipino workers. Also there's only one woman in the company, and she's relagated to customer service.
They also have some VERY dodgy lines in the TOS about their rights to work posted on the site.

I do not care about changing the mind of a bigot. People can believe whatever they want. What I do care about is how space they have to cause damage.
Harm reduction is the key, not endless appeals to minds not amenable to reason.

My city's library actually has copies of this poet's book that I didn't think they'd have?? Holy shit. They're all lent out right now with pending holds on top, but I'm gonna get a copy when I can.
