A steay thought I've been thinking more on: marriage-powered mech. Or commitment-powered mech, anyway? Those stories have been around before.
@swordjaw I've seen mecha that use the power of love, and mecha that have used the power of maternal bond with child, but no mechs that were powered by romantic commitment specifically
@ryusei You have a point! I was equating love and commitment when I was thinking of that. I think it would be interesting if I specified that, then, and there were pilot teams that were expected to take sabbaticals from each other because they needed breaks from each other for work and personal reasons.
