wired: bonding over shared interests
Today's tarot draw - The Inverted Fool from The Sinking Wasteland Tarot.
"The inverted fool suggests that you are not aware of or considering the consequences of your actions. You need to take a step back and plan your route forward, as you may be acting recklessly or getting in over your head. "

Okay corporate CEOs. You can still have advertisements. But you have to do all of them during a 5 second time span, all at once. This will occur once per year.
Oh by the way, the Internet Archive is still in need of donations! They do amazing and important work in preserving our history!
Today’s tarot draw - The Inverted Eight of Pentacles from The Sinking Wasteland Tarot.
“You may be focusing too much on fine details and missing the bigger picture. Your perfectionism is getting in the way of your success. You are spending too much time on minute details and need to examine where your effort and time would be better spent. “

Now that computer language processing is getting better, how about a computer game in the vein of "digital: a love story", but more interactive, where the main form of interactivity is writing posts on an in-game BBS, with the computer understanding your posts and responding to them? It could still have a pre-determined end but what you say in your posts could shape the story along the way.
Here’s a little drawing I did of an Odder Otter, my favourite minion from FFXIV! There’s a few mini prints of this piece and others available in my shop (now with much more reasonable international shipping options)

I wrote about the incredibly frustrating Patreon changes -- thanks to Ryan North, Kate Leth, and Jeph Jacques for talking numbers with me! https://www.engadget.com/2017/12/08/patreon-fee-change-will-hurt-small-contributions/
With the new #Patreon payment structure, *patrons* pay a fee on top of their pledge, as well as patreon taking a (now smaller) cut from the creator's balance.

I made a little spreadsheet to help me work out what the heck was going on in actual numbers.
So if I'm supported by 50 $1 pledges, I get $47.50, but supporters pay nearly $70.
