The labor and the materials to end scarcity exist now. It is not a far-off dream. We can end scarcity in this life.

I guess Terms of Service on websites a perfect application of Capitalist logic: Theoretically, two parties of equal faculties and totally at liberty to engage with each other choose to do so, but the reality is that most people have no choice but to enter into these "bindinf agreements" with the Capitalists (Google etc) because it is practically impossible to not use the internet/their services
If the use of the Internet in pretty much any form (whether we like or not) requires for practically everyone to enter into an implied contractual exchange of use for personal information, then surely it is unethical to force people into that obligation by making the Internet uniquitous and mandatory?

Computers are magic.
No, really. There's a crystal at the heart of it doing all the computation, with some support crystals sending power to it and handling some data for it, and a timing crystal keeping everything working in sync. There's countless small liquid crystals acting as a display, changing colors in sync to form images.
Since it's a topic of conversation currently, here's an anti-big data manifesto in less than 500 characters.
1. Communities need boundaries, norms, taboos, and values.
2. Tags are not communities without curation.
3. Aggregation of services forces norms to a common-denominator value.
4. This benefits predatory harassment and algorithmic marketing more than users.
5. Independent sites with local control provide an alternative to big data. Prices are dropping. We just need "plug and play."
