It's a nice instance--especially if you understand a bit of French! But even without being bilingual (or more), there are many cool folks to connect with.

@Qwyrdo yeah! i still haven't learned any french but i partly joined to encourage myself to do so. i've been pretty passive here so far, having trouble actually posting or interacting with people due to Fear, but it's been a nice experience even just watching from the bleachers

Haven't seen the sort of squabbling seemingly endemic to the birdsh!t site, either.

@Qwyrdo yeah, that's been a huge relief. of course there's conflict of various kinds, but i've never seen anything close to the stuff on (or tumblr) that used to drive my anxiety up the wall
