I'm sad and exhausted but I did the goddamn thing and I'm proud of that
So we may or may not have broken federation on witches.academy.
NGL it's kind of awesome how everyone is rolling with it haha
UPDATE
We are getting help
OH
Do we maybe have to upload 'rails-setting-cached" somehow?
Wish we were better at sysadmin stuff, cos we got no idea what's wrong here tbh
Well, that's weird.
So we turned off the whitelisting, but the instance is still down?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
What did we do tho
Just turned on the whitelisting code, and it BORKED.
So, gotta figure that out
witches.academy is down for the moment
WE FINALLY BROKE IT
Also, seriously moving from the color scheme of witches.academy back to any other instance is so trippy >.>
WITCH FRENS
welcome to the sabbath, witches
Even if my whitelist code is publicly available, I stand with @Gargron in preferring that folks don't adopt it in a widespread.
I want Mastodon to succeed and a more open platform is what's going to help accomplish that the most.
awoo.space is intended to be an edge case- a place where we're accommodating a space for those of us who want better protection while the platform can't support it yet.
hello friends! I genuinely would like feedback on how long ephemeral toots should last before disappearing AND for people to join up on https://ephemeral.glitch.social and take it for a spin!
don't be shy!
boosts welcome on this one too (:
If you tried to message us last night or this morning, we are not ignoring you, drunk us deleted all the notifications and we can't get them back >.>
Sorry :<
Can't tell if the anxiety is because of the downtime problem or our new meds.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee
We're gonna learn a bunch more, then start trying to get a job as a sysadmin cos despite our current irritance this is really fun
It's not working haha >.>
Found a SSH terminal app.
Technology is amazing tho
TFW you wanna go home cos your instance is down but you're stuck at work RT if u agre
Apparently witches.academy is down haha
We'll figure it out, but we're at work until 4:30
I really wish that fighting games didn't have so much emphasis on combo execution. From a design standpoint, it's a bunch of grinding of muscle memory you have to do before you can even really play the damn game. Why not just make the first hit deal the full optimal combo's damage, and then get back to the fun part of the game where you actually get to make decisions, as opposed to playing solitaire in the corner?
