@spiderrobotpig if you are talking about masto instance when my instance was first started I had to follow people from other instances to get it kick started.

@codeawayhaley yeah, I thought that, but I can't search people and it won't let me import my followers atm

@spiderrobotpig weird, maybe follow your instance account from a established instance see if that works and then follow from the new instance to see if that gets federating

Also uploads in general are failing, so I guess something got installed wrong?
