TFW you find a matron that will tolerate Loki and also is associated with water RT if u agree
@indi Salacia :3
Hestia was with me for a bit, but she pretty much just gave me a sigil, shitted on my cookies and left haha
@spiderrobotpig Oh wow cool, I had never even heard of Salacia.
@indi Yeah :3
Did a tarot reading, and she was apparently new pick for our matron. She seems really sweet, unlike her husband. Could just be us reading people weird?
@spiderrobotpig I think that sort of pairing is pretty common? Consider Ægir and Ran too (Though reversed in that case)
@spiderrobotpig (I bet they don't like Loki though because he TOTALLY spoiled that party that Ægir hosted that one time. ;)
@indi Most of the Norse pantheon loathe him haha
We can't even get an audience with them.
And apparently the fae? But that's a different, weirder story
@spiderrobotpig Ooh, now I'm curious. ;)
@indi Kay.
So, our witch mom (who we are no longer in contact with), worked with Loki a few times.
One of those times was getting rid of fey, cos they were taking her baby's things.
So, Loki did his whole Loki thing, and now the fae have this big thing against Loki. So, if we were to try and talk with them, we would have to have Loki far, far, away haha
@spiderrobotpig Yup, that would do it. ;)
@indi At least that should be doable, not that we can keep a god out of the way if they decide to butt into whatever we're doing >.> haha
@indi That makes sense :3
We've always found it weird that we tend to have Roman matrons, but we suppose the Norse gods don't exactly like Loki, and vice versa tbh.
@spiderrobotpig Also :thumbsup: on the Hestia thing (more or less, I suppose).
I love hearing about complicated/non-standard deity interactions. Like, I had a thing going with Lugh for a few months where he was a really helpful drill-sargeant when I was first getting started with daily stuff... but eventually basically had to 'break it off' when I ended up getting into obsessive patterns over it. But, like, amicably.
@indi We don't think there are any hard feelings either way, she just didn't like Loki, and apparently she prefers cake? *shrug*
And that is interesting. We also like hearing stuff like that cos it makes us feel less alone haha
@spiderrobotpig Yeah exactly! Same here!
@spiderrobotpig Ooh, I'm curious who, if you don't mind sharing.
