@spiderrobotpig wow I'm really out of touch with MTG; don't recognise any of those except "forest" and "swamp".

Looks horrifying enough though :)

@fallerOfFalls Hahaha

It's all the new set because I'm finally getting back in, but it seems relatively good?

@spiderrobotpig I have no idea how effective it would be. But I find it interesting to see different strategies. I have two decks: a sliver deck that's very effective but no fun for anyone, and a more interesting card draw and mana deck with some heavy hitters. All legacy now though. Haven't actually played for many years. So I don't know anything about current sets or rules.

@fallerOfFalls I don't have the money for Legacy, but I am a huge fan of Slivers

This deck currently just drops a bunch of -1/-1 counters and swarms with snakes and insects. It's pretty great :3

@spiderrobotpig it sounds like a lot of fun! Wish there were a neat way to play the decks against each other (for me MTG is about deck building, the actual playing of a game should be deterministic based on the deck), over the internet? With chess you can be like "Knight to e4" or something.

Re: slivers - they are just impossibly overpowered and the only way to really beat them is with another sliver deck or a deck specifically designed to beat slivers.

Oh I just found my decks!

@spiderrobotpig here's the card draw one mtgvault.com/va9693/decks/expo

And here's an early version of the sliver deck, mtgvault.com/va9693/decks/glas which, yes, was expensive to build. So was the other one actually. This is one reason I stopped playing: the game is stacked in favour of players with money.

I'm a big fan of Dominion for this reason: deck building awesomeness, but fair. Lots about magic I miss though :)

@fallerOfFalls That makes sense. I tried to play Dominion once and I wasn't a huge fan, but I might try it again?

Also yeah those decks look cool :3
