Une Goupelin Autiste @spiderrobotpig

I will just never understand how "Click the tiny fucking CW button and mention you're talking about current events so your don't trigger PTSD or anxiety attacks in random people" is a goddamn divisive issue.

Just fucking CW your politics posts or go back to fucking twitter.

*deep breath*

I need to sleep.

I need to sleep

I need to sleep.

@b It's not you at all. I think I saw you mentioning it after the fact tbh.

@spiderrobotpig yeah i know i'm just mostly sorry you're having to deal with this shit

@b Honestly, it's mostly the autism making it worse. I'll be fine if I can manage to slep

@spiderrobotpig :musical_note: :microphone2: why won't you let meeee:microphone2: :musical_note:

@Anarchist586 I can't tell if this is supposed to be a joke, or if you're making fun of me right now.

Autism is kinda awful.

@spiderrobotpig I'm sorry i don't mean to make fun they are lyrics from a pavement song

@Anarchist586 It's okay, it's just really hard for me to parse stuff, especially if I don't know what's being referenced.

It's all good :3

@spiderrobotpig FWIW, as somebody who has pretty much crapped up his own twitter with political rage-shares, I don't think this is a hard thing to ask of me.

@spiderrobotpig Dude what? What current events or politics triggers people?

@spiderrobotpig Why not use the CW when posting profanity?

@spiderrobotpig cause the ability to surprise ppl w/content that, given an informed choice, they'd prefer not to see right now, is core to the viral mechanic that consolidates social media influence? ppl whose entire persona is "exploiting brain glitches for attention" don't like having to ask first :-/

@ur_faec That makes sense tbh

Just don't know why people would be so gross

@spiderrobotpig yeah. i doubt it's conscious for a lot of ppl, but once you start perceiving social spaces as a game of metrics optimization (which a LOT of tech ppl do, it's practically the entire premise of reddit and its offshoots), you'll get mad at anything that limits your personal numbers -_-

@ur_faec That's just...weird. Tbh. I cannot understand

@spiderrobotpig heh. i do "understand" cause i'm around it so much. i wish i knew how to get away from it :-/ but so far, here is a lot nicer than twitter, and i hope that's still true when the dust settles.

@ur_faec I mean, I've dealt with less bs, but I wish there was a way to personally block instances. That would be perfect

@spiderrobotpig Interesting how people who get all mad about people who create unnecessarily divisive issues are creating an unnecessarily divisive issue about what they perceive as an unnecessarily divisive issue.

"What's with all these SJWs who get mad about stupid things? I'm real mad about this latest stupid thing and I'm going to make it into a bigger stupid thing!"

I believe this is called "being meta-offended". Or maybe "offended²".

@Gargoylezoo @spiderrobotpig I'm gonna go with "self-similarly", not because it's mathematically accurate but because it seems like the most appropriate wording to use when discussing the people we're discussing

:laughing: :sob:
