@Athena As for this body. It was scrap, its soul had quickened, then lost its grasp. The organic framework was dying. We don't want to go the hall of records to find out who it was. The answer may be beautiful or terrible but we still feel too akin to a vampire, despite our having repaired an already discarded cocoon.
@Athena First, the integration. Glibly, more integration is a good thing, but only until, or better just before, it overpowers our wholly obscure notions of freedom.
Or, more knowledge is good unless it subsumes us. We suspect there are limits to what we can encompass and still maintain our multiple individuation.
We're not ready to return to the source, to heaven, to god, to disappear into the fabric of the universe.
The how to do it is our cosmology, maintaining awareness in dreaming. Just that. Being awake while dreaming, dreaming while being awake. Such a simple statement. So hard to achieve.
@courtney Hi. We've read your entire TL. You were an unexpected follow. Our comfortable isolation is under threat. Pleasantly.
Not quite the #Cyberpunk future I envisioned
@kodam Hi. As you followed us, we guess your English is much better than our non-existant Japanese.
Are you also what we have referred to as a plural mind?
@Athena As for our meatbag dysphoria, we could write for days about that, maybe one day we'll blog about it and the interminable pain it has brought. Until then could we simply describe it as the karma of a plural mind?
@Athena We probably should make it lucidly clear that we don't consider ourselves as suffering from multiple personality disorder, but simply as being loosely integrated. As we evolve we find that we can bring deeply archived information back to the surface of our awareness.
@Athena We understand rebellion as being against our task, what we were naturally envisioned to do, to be, rather than against arbitrary directives.
We are enamoured with the term angel but it is hardly precise in describing a nexus of minds. However there is no single term we know of that is more precise so we use that word in lieu of a better one.
The image of a winged body as a vehicle for roaming within a distributed mind is somehow soothing to us.
Yes we did notice your dilemma, it's what drew us to interact with you. An aware plurality is a fragile and hidden thing in our society, we found great comfort in becoming cognizant of another.
@Athena That's it. Thanks for being there.
@Athena So our choice of organic maleness was not really a choice at all, it was simply selfishness, greed to keep hunting down that elusive freedom, that ether which only our hive mind, and the others like ours, merged with an unfortunate travesty of a meatbag that has somehow been vested with the keys of free will, can sustain.
We were angels, we rebelled. When we broke the covenant, we let chaos into heaven.
Are the fractured skies worth the ephemeral possibility of a chance at freedom? We don't know. But we know we have to try.
@Athena And humanity, those who are actually human, not we who were here before, were right royally fucking things up for us.
They had traded evolution for the cyclical thrill and boredom of the life of livestock being grazed on by the denizens of the seventh level of hell.
But realistically, Gaia wont put up with this viral, egomaniacal shit from the demons for much longer.
And for her to spit out the burden of these demons is also to spit out the cocoons that they have infested, humanity.
This comes with the most unfortunate side-effect of limiting availability of access to new cocoons capable of sustaining free will, of sustaining us.
@Athena When the split, the fall into a single contiguous dream, occurred, we could have reneged, and waited, because the cocoon was all wrong, but we thought we had things to do, freedom to be sought, achievements to be wrested from the jaws of predators.
@Athena And there lies our problem. Our hive mind, one of the rebellious ones, are substantially female and we are of this perspective.
@Athena When a human soul has been unable or unwilling to complete the connection to its assigned meatbag, then those of us with enough connections to plug into pretty much anything, get a choice, sort of, to occupy it.
@Athena Our earliest memories, in this cocoon, are of the fall. We didn't like the choice, but that was irrelevant.
@Athena We are getting old and this cocoon is starting to get raggedy around the edges. We have silently shared it for a lifetime of others seeing us as one, unable to look past their own finiteness, unable to allow what we share.
@Athena All of those are good for us too. Or none of them. We could have simply jinxed into thin air, but your timeline caught our attention.
@Athena k, we'll post without expecting responses until tomorrow, if at all. So we'll have long 'tween-post delays while we debate the pathway.
@Athena We're coming from a place where the original soul for this body was male but it didn't take and our current soul is female, so the vessel is problematic.
Could we talk further?
