@Eve @nergdron Sorry we didn't reply yesterday. We'd curled up in a comfortable ball of warm blanket and deliciously salty tears. It's probably a good thing we don't wear mascara because nobody noticed when we re-emerged, soaked our bloodshot eyes in cold water and pretended life was wonderful.

@nergdron Virtual hugs is all we can give here, they're all yours.

Some people spend their whole lives together, if we could conjure up the emotion we'd be envious.

Two people who we considered would be our life partners have died after we spent many years together.

We've learned a bit about pain. Time heals nothing. The only healing comes from love, love without conditions.

Thanks @Eve, the happiness is aleady putting the pain back in its box where it needs to be, where we can take it out occasionally when things are bad and it can light up all the joy in counterpoint.

We're swimming in happiness and pain today.

The one defining emotion in our life is love, its intensity leaves all others pale and ephemeral.

Of all the people we have loved, one shared and multiplied that intensity beyond description. Three years ago she died.

Last night we spent hours in lucid dreamspace, walking and talking with her.

We assume a balance between light and dark, until we get proven wrong, yet again, so intelligent evil is as mandatory as intelligent good, n'est-ce pas?

Making short-term karmically problematic decisions to achieve a long-term reality could be viewed as serenely intelligent from either a creation or chaos perspective.
